Kappa Alpha Theta President
Welcome to the website of Rho Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta! I hope browsing through our site gives you a glimpse of what it means to be a Theta at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln!
Kappa Alpha Theta provides many opportunities for its members to engage in a truly rewarding membership experience. As a chapter, we continually strive to meet the core values of our fraternity: sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and service. We pride ourselves in our academic achievements, successful philanthropic events, leadership on campus, and our ability to balance it all out on top of a busy social calendar.
The women of our chapter are committed to attaining the highest standards of scholarship. Our dedication to academic excellence is evident, as we continually surpass the all sorority GPA each semester. Kappa Alpha Theta promotes not only academic growth, but also many opportunities for leadership. The leadership demonstrated by women of our chapter is not limited to holding positions within the chapter, but extends throughout several campus organizations. Our members are involved in more than 50 honors societies, clubs, organizations, and athletic teams! Although we are all hardworking and dedicated women, we know how to relax and have a good time at our socials, formals, and sisterhood events.
Service is another important aspect of Theta’s membership experience. We proudly promote and organize two of our own philanthropies, as well as supporting the philanthropic efforts of other Greek houses on campus. This spring we look forward to our first philanthropy of the year, KATwalk for CASA, followed by our 5k Pace Race for Kids, in the fall. Our efforts benefit CASA, which is Kappa Alpha Theta’s national philanthropy. Many Thetas serve the community in various other ways and we encourage each other to take the time to lend a helping hand.
Theta sisterhood is like no other; it is comprised of women all over the world who share in the joy of compassion, love, and loyalty. No matter the location, time or situation, you will find that sisterhood is at the center of each Theta’s life. Faith, Hope, Love….these are the words Thetas live by. The sisterhood shared within Theta membership is not something that can be described, but only understood through personal experience. The Theta house is truly a home away from home. It serves as a place to grow in ourselves, share lifelong memories, and find sisters that will be there supporting us every step of the way. As President of Rho Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta, I am honored to represent the amazing women of Theta and could not be more proud of each and every member of our chapter.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope exploring our website gives you a better understanding of what our lives as Thetas are all about!
