Clarisse Thomsen -Chief Education Officer
“From the outside looking in, you can’t understand it. From the inside looking out, you can’t explain it.”
Kappa Alpha Theta provides its new members with memorable experiences, lifelong friendships, and countless opportunities to grow and excel. After joining, you can look forward to attending Monday night dinners and meetings, social and sisterhood events, formals, philanthropies, football blocks, and so much more! Early in the fall semester, we have a get-to-know-you week. Each night, the new members will be able to interact with the upperclassman and participate in fun activities such as ice cream socials, tie dying, bowling, and more! In the spring semester, we plan a retreat for the new members. This is a small getaway from daily academics and allows them to further bond as a class.
Theta also utilizes the Member Education Assistant (MEA) Program. MEAs are upperclassman selected on their scholastic well roundedness. The program is designed to help the new members as they transition into college. MEAs are around to give campus tours, assist in registering for classes, and making sure that new members are able to balance all aspects of college life. Becoming a member of Kappa Alpha Theta means joining a sisterhood of women who will support and uphold you for the rest of your life. We strive to make our new members’ four years in college the most memorable and unforgettable yet!
